Dan Smith - Chief Operating Officer
Dan Smith’s thirty years of experience, most of which has been directing all aspects of multiregional food service and merchandise operations, have made him instrumental in the creation and development of Legends Hospitality Management. His business prowess has recently earned him the right to be highlighted in Sports Business Journal’s “Five People to Watch in Sports Concessions.” Before becoming a principal with Legends Hospitality Management, Mr. Smith was President of Ledgestone Associates, where he developed Xpress Ordering Systems for stadium and arena concession facilities, and also acted as a consultant for self-operating clients. Prior to Ledgestone, Mr. Smith was Senior Vice President of Centerplate, where he maintained profit and loss responsibility for over fifty-two facilities in five separate regions of an Eastern territory. He has been a director of the food, beverage and merchandise services for major and minor league baseball stadiums, entertainment complexes and convention centers, and his knowledge of the industry dates back to his days as a high school vendor at Yankee Stadium in 1977. Mr. Smith’s education includes an MBA in Corporate Strategic Planning from Pace University and a BS in Accounting from St. Francis College.
